The aim is to describe a three-dimensional space in which electrical connections reside or are placed so that they may be easily referenced, located, and maintained. In this instance, rooms, floors, walls, ceilings, closets and any other spaces are identified and measured

Connections
Every electrical component installed in the building is identified and codified and located by length and height in the building floor plan. Every wire, box, plug, switchbox, panel, connector is identified. All power and communications cabling are included.; Servers and computing devices may be included.
Administration
Monitoring, tracking, tracing, mapping, trouble shooting, and record-keeping are all part of the admirative requirements of configuration management.
